Queenborough and Rushenden sit on the west side of Sheppey, right beside the A249. That makes them among the quickest places on the island to start an airport journey. Here's how the options compare.

Option 1: taxi
Best for: early flights, families and anyone with luggage. Door to terminal with no changes, and a fixed fare agreed when you book. From Queenborough, London City is often under an hour on a clear run.
Option 2: train
Best for: light luggage and daytime flights. Queenborough has its own station on the Sheerness line, so you can get to Sittingbourne easily, but you'll still need at least one more change, usually in London, to reach any airport.
Option 3: drive and park
Best for: short trips with cheap parking booked ahead. Remember airport parking, drop-off charges and the Dart Charge for Stansted, Luton and Southend.
The verdict
For most trips with suitcases, a taxi is the simplest option, especially for early departures. See airport taxis in Queenborough and airport taxis in Rushenden, or call 01795 25 25 01.
