A few simple rules and courtesies make every journey better, for you and the driver.

Seatbelts

The law says passengers aged 14 and over must wear a seatbelt where one is fitted, and it's your responsibility, not the driver's.

Children

In a licensed taxi or private hire car, children under 3 can travel without a child seat in the back if one isn't available, and children 3 and over must use an adult seatbelt. Bringing your own child seat is always safest. Tell us when you book.

Food and drink

  • A bottle of water is fine
  • Ask before eating, and avoid anything messy or strong-smelling
  • Don't drink alcohol in the car

Courtesy

  • Be ready at the pickup time
  • Let the driver know about any changes
  • Take your rubbish with you
