December is the busiest month of the year for taxis. Here's when to book.
The busiest dates
- Friday and Saturday nights in December, for work parties
- Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day
- New Year's Eve, especially just after midnight
When to book
- Work parties: as soon as the date is set
- Christmas Day: as soon as your plans are fixed
- New Year's Eve: weeks ahead if you can
Villages and the east of the island
If you live in Warden, Leysdown or Eastchurch, book early. These are further from town, so cars take longer to reach you on busy nights.
